To accomplish this mission, it is strategically imperative to collaborate, create, and maintain social connections with teachers, administrators, and the community to meet the rigorous challenges of a fast-changing technological society.   4. Identifying the Problem Students in the classroom are not being taught the necessary skills to be able to succeed in the 21st century. Technology is the biggest concern

The Internet • 1996 - 45 million users • 1999 - 150 million users • half of them were from US • 2000 - 407 million users • 218 out of the 246 countries in the world. • 2002 - 800 million users High school senior (2010) was born in 1991. Incorporating the Internet • Connecting with people in different locations and of different ages • Share their interests • Not taking full advantage of the learning opportunities of the Internet • Provides new kinds of public spaces for students to interact and receive instant feedback from one another
