  2. Design Inspirations- Landscape Landscape • Etomology- “a tract of land with distinguishing features” • Curve of the levee a prominent feature of project site • Design intends to compliment the feature of the levee/ levee shape

  3. Design inspirations- Glad • Etomology- “ light, happy, not heavy” • Design intent is to make the site glad, happy, light • Building designed to be the “sparks” of project site

  4. Design Inspirations- Glade • Etomology- “shining, bright.” • Foil started to roll up, creating the idea for the site layout • Site will “layer” vertically along the shape of levee giving off different light at different heights to accentuate the curve of the levee

  5. Wind study • Case study of wind loads on the Chicago spire • Wind hits the units glass wall and rides the twist up and off the building
