  2. Is Jesus With You Luke 2:41-43 “His parents went to Jerusalem everyyear at the Feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it.”

  3. Is Jesus With You Luke 2:44-45 “But supposing Him to have been in the company, they went a day's journey, and sought Him among their relatives and acquaintances. So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him.”

  4. Is Jesus With You Luke 2:46-47 “Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.”

  5. Is Jesus With You Luke 2:48 “So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, ‘Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously."

  6. Is Jesus With You Luke 2:49,50 “And He said to them, ‘Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?’ But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.”

  7. Is Jesus With You • Is it possible to suppose Jesus is with us when He is NOT? (Luke 2:44) • Are you seeking Jesus – but in all the wrong places? (Luke 2:44) • Will you keep seeking Jesus until you find Him? (Luke 2:45,46) • Are you seeking Jesus where He is? (Luke 2:46-50)

  8. Are You Traveling Along Life’s Road Supposing Jesus Is With You When He Is Not? • Living an immoral life – 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Galatians 5:19-21 • Living a worldly life – 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; 1 John 2:15-17 • Not In Christ – Romans 6:3-6; Galatians 3:26,27; Ephesians 1:3 (Luke 2:44)

  9. Are You Traveling Along Life’s Road Supposing Jesus Is With You When He Is Not? • Living disobediently –John 15:9,10 Hebrews 5:8,9 2 John 1:9,10 • Living an unfruitful life – John 15:1-9 Matthew 12:30 Matthew 25:14-30 (Luke 2:44)

  10. Are You Seeking Jesus—But in All the Wrong Places? • In family tradition? Matthew 10:37 • In denominationalism? 1 Corinthians 1:10-13 • In emotionalism? Matthew 7:21-23 • In freedom from His authority? James 1:22-25 Luke 2:44

  11. Will You Keep Seeking Jesus Until You Find Him? Mary and Joseph Kept Looking! • How much effort are you putting into finding Jesus? Matthew 7:7,8 • Don’t go on supposing Jesus is with you - be sure! 1 John 2:3-5 • Are you willing to go ALL THE WAY back to Jerusalem? Acts 2; 17:11 Luke 2:45,46

  12. Seek Jesus Where He Can Be Found! Mary and Joseph Went Back to Jerusalem • Jesus is found in the Scriptures – John 5:39 • Jesus is found when we, by faith, obey Him –Romans 6:16,17 • Jesus continues with us if we continue to follow Him – John 12:27,28 Luke 2:46-50
