  1. The self-evidence artifact of Jackson Chandler Me: In a Golf Ball

  2. Playing Golf

  3. Competitive and Athletic • Participating in the sport demonstrates the importance of athletics, competition and putting in practice to make myself better at something. • I would say that this aspect of my character has attributed to my being here and succeeding so far here at Georgia Tech. • On a side note, playing golf has brought me closer with my dad since my parents divorced at a young age.

  4. Watching Golf

  5. Passive and Relaxed • It takes a passive, laid back person to watch golf, admit it. I enjoy watching golf therefore I feel like I’m a very laid back passive person. • Some may translate this as laziness, which I must say can be a vice of mine at times and often leads to procrastination. • Confrontation is a foe of mine, just chill out, sit down and watch some golf.

  6. Reading Golf

  7. Interested and Intrigued • I’ve actually read a few golf books. I enjoy these books for several reasons whether it be the tips involved or the compelling stories that unfold. • This points out the knowledge seeking side of me. I enjoy the sport and I want to know more about it, so I’ve taken the initiative to research the facts and stories of golf, very much like any other topic that I find interesting.

  8. Golf Team

  9. Friendship and Leadership • As a member and captain of my high school golf team, I was able to create long lasting friendships and develop myself as a leader. • I feel that this really defines me in the sense that I enjoy making and spending time with friends. • Also, when put in a pressured situation, I’m usually willing to step forward and orchestrate a team to work towards a goal.

  10. Golf Statistics

  11. Math and Detail Mindedness • Perhaps an even more defining characteristic of me being here at Georgia Tech. Following golf statistics and tournament points systems is an interesting way of putting two of my passions together, numbers and golf. • Through golf statistics I’m able to track how my favorite players are performing as well as exercise my numerical mind.

  12. Patterns • Each piece of evidence involves an aspect that interests me and shapes my identity, golf. • Just as each piece of evidence is concerning the sport of golf, it also relates to certain characteristics that identify me. • The evidence presented takes some form of the sport golf and translates it to a personal trait of mine.

  13. Argument • It appears that a great deal of my identity can be translated by one simple sport that I enjoy. Golf and all of the mediums in which I participate in not only describe some of the things I do in my free time but also highlight, implicitly, some of my most identifying characteristics.
