  8. Commas – 2nd chance! • Please complete the practice worksheet for commas. USE YOUR NOTES & ASK QUESTIONS if you do not understand. • I will give you some worksheets to be completed at home. They are due before the bell rings tomorrow morning. Your grade on these worksheets will replace your commas pop quiz grade (in green at the top). You may choose to do or not do these worksheets. (I STRONGLY recommend doing them!)

(Johnny, Katie, Kateryn, Brayan, Jerry, Luis) • Station 2: Use dictionaries and work together to complete the vocabulary study worksheet. (Stephanie, Victor, Crystal, Kevin, Jose) • Station 3: Use the big book to help you answer the question support worksheet. (Cristian, Angelina, Camila, William, Chris, Edgar)

INDEPENDENT READING • Please get the book that you selected for independent reading and read SILENTLY for the next 20 minutes. • When I tell you that time is up, please fill out your worksheet (a summary or your thoughts on what you read – at least 5 sentences NOT copied from the book) and put it in your IR folder.

  16. The Lost Boys of Sudan • Please take 10 minutes to work on the Lost Boys question worksheet. Do NOT answer question number 2. • We will go over the answers together.

  17. The Lost Boys – Project Introduction • Please read the instructions carefully. You will choose ONE project - either the mural or the brochure. • You will have SOME time to work on your project over the next 2 days, but you will have to complete it at home. • Your project is due WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27that the beginning of class.

  19. Midterm study guide – 1st half • Please complete the midterm study guide. You may use your notes, tablemates, books, etc. to help you. • You will get the 2nd half of the study guide on Monday.

  20. Project Time • Please use the remaining time to work on your project for “The Lost Boys”. • Remember the grading criteria – try to get over an 80%!!
