October • Begin Security Selection • 3-6 hours per week of team meetings • Stock pitches for each manager • 1 page reports • Several hours of reading and research outside of meetings • Trade execution • Lead manager in charge of sending trade recommendations to Professor Ghosh • One Page report, Trade ticket, Stop loss, Limit order • Beware of Trade Lag • Connect with Mentor • SMF Event • Breakfast with Undergrads and Mentors • Possible additional event in Stamford The University of Connecticut MBA 2012 Student Managed Fund

  6. November • Continue Investing • Finish 1st round of investing and begin 2nd • Weekly Portfolio Updates • Begin Preparing Report and Presentation to Investment Advisory Board (IAB) • Possible SMF event (Hartford or Stamford) The University of Connecticut MBA 2012 Student Managed Fund

December & Winter Break • Finish 1st semester investing • Complete at least 2 pitches per manager by end of 1st semester • 1st semester report due to IAB • IAB Presentation – Stamford • Focus of report and presentation is investment strategy, policies and procedures, and market outlook • Not as focused on portfolio performance • 3-4 managers present • Each manager prepared to answer questions on stock selections • Winter Break • Make sure Stop Losses are set and updated before leaving for break • Each manager responsible for monitoring stock selections and updating the group if any action is needed before 2nd semester The University of Connecticut MBA 2012 Student Managed Fund

March & April • Final Presentation to UConn Foundation! • NYC in Early March (Big East Tourney Week) • 3-4 presenters – everyone ready to speak • Focus on Performance of Portfolio, comparison to Benchmark, lessons learned, individual selections • After presentation • Continue Monitoring • Full Report Competition • Prepare FINAL Final Report – Archived • Unwind Portfolio • Any final deliverables – including full reports for each stock selection The University of Connecticut MBA 2012 Student Managed Fund
