  6. Primary Survey • Breathing

  7. Circulation • Stop bleeding • Assessment • LOC • Skin • Cardiac parameters • Establish large IVs

  8. Disability • Abbreviated neurological exam • LOC • PERLA • Motor function • GCS

  9. Exposure • Primary survey is not completed until someone is naked.

  10. Specific Injuries of Importance • Traumatic arrest • Severe head trauma • Tension / Open pneumothorax / Hemo • Abdominal GSW with hypotension • Deeply impaled objects
