  11. Adjective: a word that describes a noun or pronoun. It tells what kind, how many, or which one.

  14. Verb: Is the action in a sentence

  17. Adverbs: Describes how the action is performed. They tell how much, how often, when and where something is done. Usually end in ly The dog quickly ran towards his owner. How did he run?

  19. Prepositions: A word that shows position or direction. Examples: in, out, under, over, after, into The cat was asleep under the covers.

  23. Interjections: a word that shows emotion
