The Great Depression The Great Depression Summary: After discovering his dad has lost his job and is selling apples on the street to make ends meet during the Great Depression, a young boy takes a job selling newspapers to help his family out. Little does he know that the greatest baseball player in the world will soon buy a paper from him.
