  3. A lever is a stiff bar that turns on a fulcrum. A lever is used to move heavy loads. There are two types of levers, a crocodile lever and a see saw lever. Lever

  4. A wheel and axle is a set of wheels connected to a bar or rod. They are used to change the power of something, speed or direction. A type of wheel is a cog, which is a wheel with little teeth. It can drive the bigger wheel to fasten the speed. A cog is like a gear. Wheel & Axle

  5. An Incline plane is a slopping surface, a little bit like a hill. It makes things easier to move. It saves lots of energy. Incline Plane

  6. An object with a pointed or sharp end. An example of a wedge is a knife or a weapon. It is used to cut or slice things. Wedge

  7. Gears are simple machines with teeth that drive one another. They fit together when simple machines are turned. These machines are used to increase or decrease turning by power. Gears

  8. A screw is a sloping surface that winds in a spiral around a shaft. It is used to fix damaged surfaces . Did you know that this simple machine has a simple machine in it? It has a Incline Plane! Screw

  9. Is a wheel that has a groove that a rope or wire fits into. It is used to move things. It can move big heavy objects. Pulley
