Dr Mirza Ahmad - President’s Speech: 19/11/2009 (2) • Key theme for year – ‘Firing up the passion for leadership’ • Promote the influence and national profile of ACSeS (1st A5 publication). • Time for members toup our game – stop naval gazing and lawyers drumming down lawyers. Need to harness untapped talent and encourage members to develop/lead wider debate : Be place champions! • Passion for excellence and adding value to local / national / international shared spaces – 2nd A5 publication, total place, partnerships, general power of competence, new government, pressures to innovate, headcount reductions and General Election training • Debates to be had : SRA/Law Soc. Practising Certificates and SLG/ACSeS • Increase size of ACSeS – entity / individual membership (Mark Hynes) • [The Belfry : 16 – 18 November 2010, plus Aston Hall - candlelight dinner]
