  1. Prophetic Acts A prophetic act is defined as an action or activity in which the mind of God toward man, the earth, times or situations is displayed and demonstrated to bring into focus, through and action or activity the mind of God concerning a matter. The prophetic act or activity is usually displayed or demonstrated or communicated in a dimension or language that is thought to be easily understood by those to whom the revealed prophetic actions is intended

  2. Prophetic Acts • Prophetic acts usually have an intended target (person, people, nation, government, time, season, circumstance, situation and is specific in nature to reveal the intent of the heart and mind of God concerning a matter. • Prophetic acts are generally and usually detailed and defined. They are not generally vague or unclear. • Proper interpretation or spiritual insight may be needed to discern challenging actions.

  3. Prophetic Acts • The purpose of a prophetic act is to reveal in conventional or non conventional ways the intent or will of the Father concerning a matter • The purpose is to bring clarity to the receiver of the prophetic act. • To provoke the heart, mind and will of those to whom the prophetic acts has to do, to come into agreement with the mind, will and thoughts of God.

  4. Prophetic Acts • Prophetic act is usually conveyed in a language or demonstration that is easily understood by those to whom the prophetic acts concerns. It is not intended to bring or bread confusion.

  5. Prophetic Acts • The prophetic atmosphere provides an environment, a matrix from which many prophetic activities are made manifest. • The prophetic atmosphere allows for many demonstrations of the will of God, whether through public or private demonstration, the revelation seen in prophetic acts disclose the mind of God concerning times, situations and in many instances the emotions of God.

  6. Prophetic Acts of God The Prophetic Acts of God The prophetic acts of God have existed throughout the history of man’s existence.

  7. Prophetic Acts of God • The Prophetic acts of God often convey His love for His people. But many times these prophetic acts also communicated God’s disappointment, correction, and rebuke. • However even in those instances the will of the Father is clear , His desire is still to bring the disobedient back into right relationship through restoration and reconciliation.

  8. Prophetic Acts Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them This is a prophetic act of enormous prophetic portion

  9. Prophetic Acts of God Let us look at Genesis 3:12 by examining the events of the garden… Read Genesis 2:7-8 Genesis 2:15-17 Genesis 2:21-25 Genesis Chapter 3

  10. Prophetic Acts of God • In this brief synopsis of the events preceding Genesis 3:12 we discover Adams disposition of himself and His wife. They are now ashamed and see themselves naked….uncovered. This was not the mindset that God intended Adam to have at this point. At this point in the Garden and process of mans development Both Adam and his wife Eve were naked before each other and before God and they were not ashamed, they had no cognitive perception or reasoning or understanding of what nakedness was.

  11. Prophetic Acts of God • Prior to their disobedience they were covered by their obedience to the will of God and because of this they experienced the intangible covering of the Lord and thus they were physically naked but spiritually covered and not in shame.

  12. Prophetic Acts of God • It was their new perception of disobedience that caused them to judge the shamefulness of their nakedness not by the external but by looking into their spiritual nakedness. • They responded to they physical by trying to hide and cover themselves with leaves, it was the now undisclosed realities of the knowledge of disobedience that made them realize that they were uncovered

  13. The Prophetic Act of God • God provides a covering for them in the form of a prophetic act of the redemption. • God made them coats of skin to now cover them. • The coats were not to shield them from the elements as we use coats today, but they were to cover them in their now perceived nakedness • Our sin exposes us not to God but to ourselves and to the perceptions of others.

  14. Prophetic Acts of God • This prophetic act demonstrates to me the covering that would be provided through the life (skin) of His son Jesus Christ • The lesson to be learned and the revelation in the activities of both God and man is clear and is seen even today. Many who disobey God’s voice and command for kingdom living hide themselves or try and cover themselves with their own man made ideas for their life rather. • What we should do in this situation is present ourselves naked before God and allow Him to cover to cover us..

  15. HOMEWORK Research the scriptures to reveal other prophetic acts demonstrated by God. Do not use identified prophets of the bible as we will be studying prophetic acts of the prophets individually. You may also choose a prophetic act of God’s that He has personally performed in your life. This is a prophetic act of God in scripture or your life, Not a prophetic act that He instructed someone to do for Him.
