A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 A Strong Phase Transition at the Weak Scale within the U(1)-Extended MSSM In collaboration with S. Nasri (to appear in PRD) Amine AHRICHE Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, University of Jijel, Algeria.
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 Outline • EW Baryogenesis Scenario. • U(1)-MSSM • Phase Transition in the UMSSM. • Conclusion.
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 SM, Problems & Extensions The SM is very succesful, but ... ν ‘masses, gauge unification, hierarchy Pb, BAU, DM, DE .. Many extensions !! particles gauge symmetry Space-time Exotic models New F, GB, S to The SM SUSY, HPGB, Unparticle..etc String, ED GUT‘s SU(5), SO(10), LR ..etc fermion↔boson MSSM: minimal realisation Succeses: EWPT, Little Hierachy, DM candidate..etc Failiures: most of SM failures, µ-problem, BAU with light stop...etc
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 EW Baryogenesis Scenario Since Dirac: Matter↔Anti-Matter, so where is the anti-matter? Observations (WMAP): Baryogenesis (BAU) Pb? In 1967, Sakharov criteria: • B violation • C & CP violation • Out-of-equilibrium In the SM (KRS): • B+L anomaly • CKM matrix • Strong first order Phase transition
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 • B+L anomaly The Sphaleron is the field configuration whose NCS=1/2
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 EW Baryogenesis Scenario (Mechanism) / / B,CP SM: Mh<42 GeV!!! MSSM: Mstop<Mtop What if the MSSM is extended by U(1)? It is OK but: Kang, et al. PRL94(2005), but with 3 extra singlets? Son, et al. PRD76, but with extra heavy singlet fermions?
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 Phase Transition in the UMSSM The Model: • G is a subgroup of E6 • Anomaly free • inspired from string models!! Why U(1)-extension?
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 Parameters & Constrains:
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 Phase dynamics: Where: The transition could occur: once: Two steps:

A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 The effective potential has more than one minimum:
A. Ahriche, LPTh Jijel LAPTH-Annecy, January 2011 Conclusion The Minimal U(1)-MSSM extended could give a strong fiest order phase transition without the need of a light stop The transition could occure in two steps: rich cosmology in (and above) the TeV scale ... needs more investigations A new behavior has been remarked, where the EWPT dynamics seems to be different Thank You
