  1. My Exchange Experience by Ho Siu Yee

  2. The letter Dear my fellow CTL students, Student exchange is for me to spend time away from my home country and experience life different from mine. I joined the institutional-level exchange programme in Sem A of 2002 at Lancaster University (UK). I must say that this exchange is such a precious opportunity for me to learn more about Linguistics, the British culture and even myself! Living in a completely English-speaking environment, writing my first academic essay, talking with people in English all the time, seeing loads of sheeps and rabbits, making many

  3. The letter (cont’d) English friends, raising money for a local charity…... what I have never done before!!! There is no way to express all my experiences and feelings in words actually because you have to “experience” it! The next person who gains a lot in the exchange programme may be…YOU!!! Grasp your opportunity! Finally, I want to express my gratitude to Dr.Webster, Rachel, Richard, Candy, all of my teachers in CityU and Lancaster, my family, my exchange mates, Sue, Carmen, Eleanor, Franco and Venny. Thank you for giving me all the support on my way!

  4. The letter (cont’d) Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the exchange programme! Best wishes,Ho Siu Yee (BALIS Year-3)
