  2. How does weather affect air pressure? Problem

  3. Background Section A • Point A • Point B • Point B • Point A • The percentage of Air in point A is 21%. • Section B • Mass, Density and Pressure • Because the molecules in air push in all directions • Inches of a mercury and millibars. • Vocabulary • Air Pressure=C • Altitude=F • Aneroid Barometer=G • Barometer= D • Density=A • Mercury Barometer=E • Pressure= B

  4. The DAY WHEN IT IS MEASURED is the independent variable and the AIR PRESSURE is the dependent variable. In other words, the DAY changes depending on the AIR PRESSURE and TEMPERATURE of the air. One controlled variable is the TIME WHEN WE MEASURE PRESSURE. VARIABLES

  5. If the weather is hot then air pressure is lower because hot weather creates less pressure and the stick of the goes down. hypothesis

  6. DATA COLLECTION

  7. DATA ANALYSIS

  8. 2. From the graph I can concluded that the Air pressure has change around the days. Honestly these 7 day have been cold to normal. The last days we can see that the temperature stayed at the same point. 3. I was able to collect 14 data points because everyday I check the Barometer 2 times to see if the air pressure has changed. Yes I think that is enough to the changes but it will be better if I could have more to have more evidence. 4.I think it was important to record information about weather conditions so we could have an experience to see how it really works a Barometer, how scientist use it and we can see that help that it provides by giving us a idea of how the weather is going to be. 5. My data was reliable because before I have started the experiment I movement to another room of the house to see if the stick will move and it did so I knew that my Barometer worked. 6. Well my data did not change in a dramastic way during the pass of the seven 7. It went in a normal way ans sometimes it would stay the same or aybe it will increase by one centimeter. DATA ANALYSIS

  9. 7. As I say in my hypothesis: If the weather is hot then air pressure is lower because hot weather creates less pressure and the stick of the goes down. And if the weather is cold then the air pressure is higher because cold weather creates more pressure and the tick will go up. 8. Hot weather is associated with lower pressure and Cold weather is associated with more pressure. 9.If my balloon would have a hole on it, it would work because the balloon wouldn’t get bigger with hot weather or it wouldn’t be tight because of cold weather. 10. A great temperature change could show a dramatic change on the barometer. It could be a very low pressure or it could be the opposite. We could see the change in a very clear way. DATA ANALYSIS

  10. My Hypothesis did support my results. If the weather is hot there will be less pressure and that results were the first ones. Then the days got colder and there was more pressure. The weather in Quito doesn’t change in Dramatic way it stays mostly the same and sometimes it rises but it is just a little. Tow sources of errors that have may affected my result will be carrying the Barometer around or that the stick will be fold it and never straight again and that would affect it because then it wouldn’t feel the air pressure.
