  1. The Seven-day Anti-Procrastination Plan Suggestions of how to eliminate procrastination are related to the days of the week.

  2. 1. Monday-Make it meaningful • List all benefits of completing the task.

  3. 2. Tuesday- Take it Apart • Break big jobs into series of small ones that you can do in 15 minutes or less. • Example- Divide a long reading assignment into two-page or three- page sections.

  4. 3. Wednesday- Write an intention statement • Write what you intend to do on a 3x5 card and carry it with you, or post it in your study area where you can see it.

  5. 4. Thursday- Tell everyone • Tell anyone that will ask whether you’ve completed the task or not. • Family, friends, and roommates can make a good support group.

  6. 5. Friday- Find a reward • Construct rewards carefully • Don’t pick movies as a reward if you was already going to go and see it. • Be willing to withhold a reward if you don’t complete a task.

  7. 6. Saturday- Settle It Now • Do it now. • Plunge into a task. • Often less painful to leap.

  8. 7. Sunday-say no • If you really don’t intend to do the task then stop doing it. • If you say no and stop then it is not procrastination.
