  15. How Actionable Messages workSafe and secure end-to-end 1 You register with Microsoft to be allowed to send Actionable Messages OWA or Outlook 2 You implement DKIM and SPF to prove your identity as a sender Office 365 Your service Office 365 uses SPF and DKIM to verify the origin of the message and let it through. Office 365 appends a signed token to the incoming HTTP request. It includes the identity of the user taking the action. Your service validates the signature of the token and extracts the identity of the user taking the action. If everything checks out, the action is executed. The user receives the Actionable Message in Outlook Your service returns a success or failure response, including an updated card 6 Your service receives the HTTP POST request from Office 365 3 Your service sends an Actionable Message 5 The user clicks an action in the Actionable Message 4 Outlook receives the response and displays the updated card 8 7
