1 object of the investigation
1. Object of the investigation

  • 1.5L 4-stroke diesel engine;

  • 4 inline cylinders

  • Ne = 32.7kWt at 4500 rpm

1.1 Diesel engine

2 purpose and restrictions
2. Purpose and restrictions

Purpose:Ne = 82.5kWt

Restrictions:

  • Pz= 180 bar;

  • Pinj= 2000 bar;

  • Matching Euro-5 ecological standard.

3 optimized parameters
3. Optimized parameters

4 1 turbocharger
4.1 Turbocharger

  • πk =2.5;

  • G = 0.114 kg/s;

  • N = 153 000 rpm;

  • η = 0.43.

6.3 Results

Conclusion. As a result of the optimization the significant increase of power capacity and torque was obtained. The negative result is the system complication and more stringent technical maintenance requirements.
