  7. There are 3 search options, but for our purposes, “Keyword” will be the most helpful.

  8. Enter your person in the search bar. Choose “HERE” for MHS library, rather than MJHS or one of the elementaries.

  9. We have several options, but let’s start with “Nonfiction”.

  10. Since we can’t choose 2 options here, we will choose “all fields” so we don’t miss anything. The default setting is “New to Old”.

  11. We got 2 results. This book looks like it is all about Al Capone. This one probably has a section or chapter about Al Capone. Let’s look at this one for a brief overview of Mr. Capone.

  12. This doesn’t give much information. Let’s click “Full Description”.

  13. 2. Let’s “Keep” it. 1. There is a section or chapter about Al Capone.

  14. Click here to see all of the materials you “kept”.

  15. You can add to this list and print it.

  16. Now it’s your turn to search some other topics. • You and your partner will complete the powerpoint presentation using the library’s online catalog. • One computer will stay with the powerpoint and one will be logged on to the MHS library’s online catalog to find the answers to the questions in the powerpoint. • Tip- Always use the catalog’s back button, rather than your browser’s back button.
