Publicity • It created a lot more publicity to St. Marys College like: • The last time we were in the NCAA tournament was in 1959! • More recruits to come next year • More confidence to the players and the faculty and staff • More top stories and headlines in the news • Obama was rooting for us too!

  4. Media Influence • Students and fans of Saint Marys and other schools as well were watching basketball more than usual. • The commercials during this March Madness were all about basketball • Specifically about African Americans, and in our case, Australians…

  5. Outcome • Lots of publicity and media influence about our school Saint Marys • Better expectations for next year • Realizing that the media: • Spreads news faster • Shows how we are so involved in our electronic era
