  3. Project environment (software) • Adobe Premier Pro Video and sound Editing • Adobe After Effects • Adobe Photoshop • Blender 3d Animation and modelling

  4. Project Environment ( Equipment) • Camera : Sony SLT A57 + various lenses Canon 5D mark 2 + various lenses 1080x1920 output Good Dynamic Range and colour depth • Dolly Track • DSLR Steadicam • External sound recording

Research To Date • Effects that are achievable • Rotoscoping/technique of manually creating a matte for an element on a live-action plate so it may be composited over another background. • Match Moving /insertion of computer graphics into live-action footage with correct position, scale, orientation, and motion relative to the photographed objects in the shot. • Matte Paintings • Foreground Miniatures /Scale models are often combined with high speed photography or matte shots to make gravitational and other effects appear convincing to the viewer • Blue and green screen Compositions / post-production technique for compositing (layering) two images or video streams together based on colour hues (chroma range)

  6. Unknown possibilities • Miniature compositions With Moving Camera ? • Requires high frame rate Camera !! • Motion Control Build a small 6 axis motion Control camera rig(Audrino)

  8. Project Plan • November– Finished script and final shot list. • December – Filming the live action segment Miniature Creation ? • January to March in post production. Foley Sound /Visual Effects compositions. • Upon completion of the project I should have a successful knowledge of combining live action elements with digital/practical effects to work seamlessly.
