July/August – Preparation of CHA’s pre-budget Brief to the Finance Committee August – Submission of pre-budget Brief September/October – Response to the Speech from the Throne (if required) September-November – Presentation of Pre-Budget Brief to the Finance Committee February/March – Response to the Federal Budget All year - Presentations to House of Commons and Senate Committees - Monitoring the work of the House and Senate - Meetings with senior politicians and departmental officials

Ipsos Reid May, 2012 3.1 Health System Surveys • 36% reported that they were vaccinated against the flu. • BC had the highest rate at 52% and among the lowest flu incidence rate at 10% • Quebec had the lowest rate at 27% and the highest flu incidence rate at 25% • 20% of Canadians missed work or school because of the flu • 14% of Canadians took time off from work or school to take care of someone with the flu. • 48% of Canadians would be more likely to get the flu shot if the process was faster and easier.
