  2. Red Oak-Dortches ParkPicnic Shelter • Town of Red Oak had purchased 2 picnic shelters for $31,000. • Lowest bid for construction was $30,000. • Town could not afford construction cost. Shelters had been put on hold.

  7. Saturday August 23rd cont. Today we excavated footings, removed soil from the site, cleaned up the concrete pad and covered the openings. We used a Bobcat with an auger, a Bobcat with a bucket for excavation, and hand tools . A trailer was used to remove dirt. We ate Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch.

  10. Sunday August 24th cont. We used one 5,000 watt generator, an air compressor, a nail gun, hand tools and one skill saw. We had Subway for lunch.

  14. Saturday September 13th cont. Today we used a 55’ truck crane, a 36’ scissor lift, 4 8’ step ladders, 4 sections of frame, a Baker scaffold, a 5,000 watt generator and hand tools. Lunch was hot dogs, chips, drinks and cookies.

  18. Saturday September 20th Cont. We used a 5,000 watt generator, a Skil Saw, ladders, an 8’’ miter saw, hand tools and scaffolding. We had Subway for lunch.

  25. Sunday September 28th cont. We completed installation of the decking on the picnic shelters today. We used a 26’ scissor lift, 6 sections scaffolding, 4 8’ ladders, 1 5,000 watt generator, 2 power miters, 1 Skil Saw and hand tools. We had leftover chicken for lunch.

  27. Friday October 3rd cont. Today we cut back the roof deck boards at the overhang and installed nailers. We used a 26’ scissor lift, 4 sections scaffolding, 2 baker scaffolds, 4 8’ ladders, a 5,000 watt generator, 2 power miters, 1 Skil Saw and hand tools.
