  1. A brief history • Federation of British International Schools in South East Asia and East Asia • Founded in 1984 by Ronald Stones O.B.E. • Initially for Head teachers to share good practice • Diversified into sports shortly after • 39 members • Not just sport!

  2. Dulwich and FOBISSEA • Been a member since 2010 • FOBISSEA China • Integration into the whole of FOBISSEA • Have attended 6 Games across 3 age groups • Up to now, we have hosted 2 successful Games • Will be hosting the U15 Games in November • Students sporting highlight of the Year

  3. The Games - Groups • The divisions: A1, A2, B1, B2, C.

  4. The age ranges: • Under 15 (on 1st August 2012) • Under 13 (on 1st August 2012) • Primary Games (U11, U10 and U9 on 1st August 2012) • The Games are elitist • Ultra-competitive • A big commitment • Very rewarding

  5. Dulwich - In it to win it. • Only 1 goal: • We are in it to win it • Not the place for gaining experience

The Primary GamesBritish School of Phuket • Open to Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 • Depart 4th June • Return 9th June • Accommodation yet to be confirmed by host school • Trials: 14th Jan – 24th Jan • Selection letters give out: 25th Jan • 2 Specialist PE staff on this trip • 5 other staff to accompany (to be decided)

  7. What does the price include? • The cost of the trip includes: • Transfers between Suzhou and Shanghai • Airfares to Phuket • Accommodation • 3 meals a day • Unlimited supply of sports drinks for DCSZ students • FOBISSEA games bag • FOBISSEA entrance fee • DCSZ tour top for students

  8. What is not included: • Personal liability and accident insurance • Travel insurance (must be inclusive of sporting activities) • Pocket money

  9. The cost… • The price of the trip will be approximately: • 8,800RMB

  10. What happens if my child attends the trials but is not selected? • Year 4 children • Year 5 children • Year 6 children

The Under 13 GamesInternational School of Uplands, Penang • Open to all students in Year 7 – 9 who are U13 • Depart 7th March • Return 10th March • Accommodation yet to be confirmed by host school • Trials: 26th Nov – 5th Dec • Selection letters give out: 25th Jan • 2 Specialist PE staff on this trip • 5 other staff to accompany (to be decided)

The Under 15 GamesHosted by Dulwich College Suzhou • Open to all students in Year 8 – 10 who are OVER 13, but UNDER 15 on 1st August 2012 • Games start 21st November • Games finish on 25th November • Trials: 27th August – 6th September • Selection letters give out: 7th September • Sports specialists to train teams
