THEODOR STIEBEL • 1894 Theodor Hermann Friedrich Stiebel was born on the 28th February in Braunschweig • 1924 Invention of the first ring immersion heater • 1924 - 5. May foundation of the company "ELTRON Dr. Theodor Stiebel„ in Berlin • Starting capital 20.000 Reichsmark • Start of the production in small backyard workshop in the Reichenberger road • 1946 Resumption of the production after the end of the war in Holzminden • 1949 DH 18 – the first hydraulically controlled instantaneous water heater is build • 1958 The first EBK 5 wall kettle is launched • In 1958 145.000 hot water appliances are produced - an upward trend • 1960 On 9 September Dr. Theodor Stiebel died at the age of 66 • As holder of 160 national and international patents, he is among the pioneers of electric water and space heating
