2. A New Heaven and a New Earth • “I saw a new Heaven and a New earth; for the first Heaven and first Earth have passed away and the sea was no more.” Rev 21:1 • What is the Church waiting for? The second coming of Jesus, Judgment Day! • “of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, nor the son, but the Father only.” Matt 24:36

3. The Final Judgment • God will judge all of the good and evil which will come to light when Jesus returns. • Remember, Jesus did not come to earth to condemn us, but to save us. • Show us the way to His Kingdom. • For those who are united with Christ the end of the world is a promise not a threat! • Be Christ Like and live out eternity with Him.

4. John’s Vision of the Heavenly Liturgy • In addition to what Jesus told His disciples about His second coming, the final book of the Bible, Revelation, is a prophetic of the end of time. • The Book of Revelation (sometimes called Apocalypse) we are presented with a terifying and sometimes confusing array of visions and symbols.

5. The Book of Revelation • The book opens with our narrator, John. • While in exile John is told to write down everything God shows him. • First, John sees a vision of Heaven. There he meets God and Jesus and all sorts of other angels, elders, and holy men.

6. John’s Visions • John sees Jesus come forward (in the form of a seven-eyed lamb) and open seven seals. • Each of the seals lets loose God's fury on the Earth. • We're talking rivers of blood, plagues of locusts, giant hailstones, twenty more seasons of Jersey Shore. • The last seal unleashes seven angelic trumpeters, which in turn unleashes seven bowls of God's judgment pouring down his judgment on the non-believers

7. Fate of Non-Believers • After God sends all the plagues to Earth and loads of people die , He has the armies of Heaven wipe the dragon and the two beasts off the face of the Earth. Literally. They get thrown in the Lake of Fire… along with all their followers who refuse to worship God. • God rids the world of all the non-believers

8. For those who believe • As for all the faithful Christians who stayed strong and kept faith in Jesus, they get to go to a splendid city in the sky where the streets are paved with gold and diamonds and nothing bad ever happens to anyone ever again. • It's all sunshine and joy and the eternal light of God.

9. The Seven Seals and 4 Horseman • The First Seal--Rider on White Horse • Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come” • I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

The Second Horseman • The Second Seal—War • When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come." • And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him

12. The Third Horseman • The Third Seal--Famine • When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, "Come." I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand • And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine

The Fourth Horseman • The Fourth Seal—Death • When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come” • I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth

14. The Believers will be saved • The Fifth Seal—Martyrs • When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained • and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"

15. The Sixth Seal • The Sixth Seal—Terror • I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; • The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. • for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
