History & Background • NRCCUA (National Research Center for College & University Admissions) is a non-profit educational research organization founded in 1972 • Mission Statement: • Creating a brighter future for America’s youth with integrity…through a unique process that captures and shares educational and career aspirations…one dream at a time. • Founding Principles: • Provide free college/career information to high school students; • Enable students to make educated decisions regarding their post-secondary future; and • Provide insight into the attitudes and aspirations of students and educators nationwide

NRCCUA’s Scope • Nearly 5.5 million current high school students participate in our programs • 58 million students have participated • My College Options connects students with over 5,000 colleges and universities nationwide. • Largest database of high school student planning profiles; largest non-promotional scholarship matching database • 39 years of service & trust in the educational community

My College Options College and Career Planning Program • Registration occurs in classrooms and online facilitated by teachers and counselors • Approximately 95% of U.S. high schools participate in the program • My College Options works with 55,000high school educators each year • Nearly 2.2 million Seniors have registered

Student Benefits • My College Options connects students with colleges and universities and career opportunities which are right for them. • Each student receives a free, online and personalized college planning account. • Additionally, students receive free, real-time college match reports, ACT and SAT online prep programs, and access to college expert blogs, grade and time of year-specific monthly newsletters, and more.

Educator Benefits • My College Options enables you to gain relevant research on student and educator thoughts and opinions; • Gain a better understanding about the makeup of your students including: • The most popular career and college major choices; • The percentage of students who are first in their family to attend college; • What tools they believe will best help them prepare for their futures; and, • Many other specific data points on your students’ opinions. • Additionally, having regular access to the pulse of your educator community will allow DECA to best serve its educators and students. Best of all, it is always completely free to students, families and educators. .

Participate in 2011 • NRCCUA/My College Options can work with ALL state associations to collect research data at state conferences. • My College Options will provide you with the registration forms to distribute and collect as part of the competitive events briefing. • After the conference, simply return the completed forms to My College Options and we input the data. • My College Options will provide you with a custom report on your state conference attendees.
