  2. Exercise Parameters • Scale: Tabletop exercise (TTX). • Facilities: Hotel conference space with break-out rooms. • Deployment: None…potential field trip to an aquaculture site. • Scenario: Tanker grounding due to heavy weather in vicinity of Passamaquoddy Bay.

  3. Timeline • 2 October CANUSLANT design team scoping meeting in St. John, NB • 5-6 November JRT meeting in St. John, NB • (tbd) January design team teleconference • (tbd) March design team teleconference • (tbd) May design team meeting at venue location • CANUSLANT exercise on 2-4 June (alternate dates are 9-11 June) • Tuesday: TTX exercise • Wednesday: Hot wash and aquaculture site visit • Thursday (a.m.): JRT meeting

  4. Overall Objectives • Strengthen/maintain cross-border relationships • Fulfill biennial JCP exercise requirement Utilize: • Design team knowledge base • Lessons learned/remedial actions from past exercises • Past JRT priorities matrix • AGA sections • JRT work group products

  5. TTX Objectives • Review occupational safety and health requirements/training • Review trans-boundary waste disposal procedures • Review cross-border salvage and lightering capabilities • Review wildlife rehabilitation and response capabilities Consider: Interagency/emergency management response roles and support - PSEPC and FEMA. Distribution list for field responders in ME & NB to participate in exercises in border region.
