  4. CAP PURPOSE • Facilitates a Coordinated Multi-agency Response and Recovery from an Emergency Incident

  5. Contingency Action Plan • The CAP Describes: • Response Command Structure • Staging of Personnel and Apparatus prior to site deployment • Deployment of Personnel and Apparatus on scene • Emergency Protective Measures • Re-Mediation Functions

  6. CAP CHECKLIST: • Developed by the NJSP OEM • Guided by the CAP Template • Serves as a Guide for the Development of a Preparedness, Response, and Recovery Plan • Collaboration of Information from the Local, County, State OEM’s, and Facility • Contains Eleven Functional Annexes

  7. Alert Warning & Communications • Declaration of a State of Emergency • Activating the Emergency Alert System • Internal and External Public Alert Systems • Warning Devices and Procedures
