OFID’s role to support technology-enhanced teaching & learning • Dissemination of best practices through seminars, OFID days, training sessions and workshops (International/Regional speakers/trainers, QU faculties) • Follow-up and Analysis of surveys on the impact of different technologies • Proper planning and coordination of QU PD efforts

  5. OFID’s role to support technology-enhanced teaching & learning • Evaluation of new technologies • Promotion of QU technological resources in class practices to blend technology and education

  6. Partners for Improved Teaching and Learning: Peer Observation Program • To support faculty members in their effort to continuously improve their pedagogical skills.

Partners for Improved Teaching and Learning: Peer Observation Program • 40 percent of colleges and universities use some form of peer observation • Two-way trust process where two or more professional colleagues work together to reflect on current practices, expand, refine, build new skills, share ideas and teach one another.

  8. Peer Observation Must Be: • Non-evaluative • Voluntary process • Designed for initiators’ pedagogical needs and interests • No names reported to administrators or academic departments • No official or unofficial forms

  9. Participants • Any QU faculty member who desires to improve their pedagogical skills

  10. Observers • A team of faculty that work regularly with OFID • Not there to look for problems • Simply their to provide another perspective
