What is CEIP? • Opportunity to obtain 54 – 108 hours of non-paid, on-site career experience while receiving course credit • Engage in career exploration under the guidance of the School-to-Career Coordinator • Recommended for all students seeking to explore careers in specific interest areas Laura A.   3. Purpose of CEIP • Connect the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom with relevant supervised work experience • Engage employers and schools in providing structured learning experiences for you Laura A. Grant

  6. Program Structure – In the Classroom • 27 – 54 hours at least • Instruction topics would include • College Awareness • Career Awareness • Ethics • Interviewing • On the job topics • Workshops and guest speakers Laura A. Grant

  7. Program Structure – In the Field • At least 54 hours of on the job training • Monitored by a certified WBL Coordinator • Comply with state regulations • “Hands on Experience” Laura A. Grant

  8. Typical Placements • Educational Institution • Law Firm • Hospital/Nursing Home • Veterinarian Office • Pharmacy • Architectural Firm • Travel Agency • Retailer • Local Sports Team • Performance Center • Hotel Laura A. Grant

  9. Time Expectations • CEIP will meet two days on and • two days off • There will be set class days • There will be set work days • Work with your mentor when creating your schedule for the week Laura A. Grant-Abrams

  10. Additional Information • You must be able to provide your own transportation to the job site • Ability to receive ½ to 1 credit • Your grade will be based on the completion of in class activities, completion of work hours, and feedback of on site mentor Laura A. Grant
