  1. Year 5 and 6 History Topic In this presentation we have put together some photographs of our topic on World War II. We wanted to learn about an important time in this country’s history and how it affects us today. I am dressed as an evacuee

  2. Hello! My name is Isabel; and here I am directing a WWII style hosepipe which was used to put out fires started by incendiary bombs. I am Isabel’s best friend Eden, and I am pumping the water through Izzy's hosepipe using a stirrup pump. We are really enjoying ourselves! The playground got very wet!

  3. Anderson shelters In our WW2 topic we had to make our own bomb shelters. Not all of them were successful. Three 1 kg weights were dropped on them and water was poured all over. This group were the winning team! Some of them snapped, some of them got soaked and some of them cracked.

  4. World War Two As homework we all had to make a model linked to our topic. This is my model of a farm with Land Army Girls. It shows three girls working on a farm. Each time a girl signed up to be in the Women’s Land Army, a farmer was sent to join the army.

  5. We are investigating some of the things we found in an evacuee’s suitcase . We also had to try to work out some Morse code. Do you know what Morse code is? This is a model I made. I learnt about how the woman had to go to work in factories because the men had joined the army.

  6. We sat in an Anderson shelter. They were used during the air raids in England. We played with toys similar to those that children had in WW2 We dressed up as children from WW2

  7. We learnt some typical WWII dances. This is the Cha-cha-cha We had a WWII Road show where we learnt about Britain during WWII. We played with old toys, and did activities relevant to WWII like re-enacting evacuation. After that, we had a V.E day. (Victory In Europe)

  8. VE Day Party We are having our V.E Day party. See that ‘V’ shape the tables make? The ‘V’ stands for ‘Victory!’ We had ice-cream, a drink and we brought in sweets and fruit.

  9. Thank you for your latest PowerPoint. We will think about how we can save water. Have a good Easter.
