Update General Info • Booster Beam: Running still at reduced levels (7 turns – need more RF & source output) • Studies are underway: • Apertures / Orbit Smoothing will continue – more magnet moves in future (Kiyomi) • Optics correction for the next two weeks – talk today • Booster SS: Stations are operating – controls / shunt problems (work on spares continue) • PIP accounts should no longer be used – now on operations (Ann – will meet with us 13:00) • Booster RF cavity rework – RF1 in test stand – additional temp measurements • Cavity from RF15 – tuners being reworked • Spare cavity work – making progress: parts in machine shop but being assembled • Booster RF Cavity 7 (8 also but less) has an RF leak and will likely be removed for repair • Will swap with RF 1 when ready – looks like next week some time • We will have 17/19 cavities after the next swap (up from 16) – may allow high-intensity • Booster Ferrites • Low Frequency tester – modified: machined for less snug fit, shipped? • first, Second tester parts are about ready to be assembled… • mu=20 cores have been ordered, Reid has not yet found a old mu=20 core for vendors to use. • RFQ –2nd source under vacuum: Trim core will arrive end of April, then tested & shipped • HLRF – planning site visit at vendor (Fernanda and Al – end of April) • Linac Modulator – progress being made – assembly of more modules • Booster Shielding – First part of document given to ES&H, write-up continues • Booster Transverse damper needs to be re-commissioned, Long damper plans started • MI Startup: End of May/Early June – shunts and funding questions still remain… Startup comments (Fernanda, Todd)

Upcoming • Reports • Update of PIP Design Report – Yearly update work • PMG & Quarterly report in April (Date not set yet) • March status update – All done except for KEITH • Budget Issues – No change from last week - • Have not heard of any new impacts from lab budget • Meeting with Ann to go over SS numbers and other PIP budget items (13:00 hours today) - Please use the E-Log to put general work in progress updates/photos – weekly would be nice – if progress is being made in task
