  2. The Theory of Evolution is widely believed and defended A few billion years ago - back when Earth was new - rivers rolled down from barren mountains into great dead seas. Rain-storms squalled and lightning flashed. Lava hissed and spewed from giant volcanoes. Nothing lived on that long-ago Earth. But the oceans were astir with promise - they swirled and simmered a primordial (all the elements) soup that held the raw materials of life.

  3. Somehow, probably in the first billion years of our world's existence, that promise was fulfilled. A nondescript glob of chemicals crossed some vague and wondrous boundary to become the first living thing. From such unfeeling chemicals, Earth eventually filled with a teeming diversity of life, from microbes to Men. – "In the beginning," Robert Locke (Ft. Wayne News-Sentinel, 1/26/80)

THE ACCURACY OF ACTS Luke, the physician/historian mentions Thirty-two countries Fifty-four cities Nine Mediterranean islands He alludes to ninety-five different people, sixty-two of which are not mentioned by any other New Testament writer Twenty-seven of these are unbelievers, chiefly civil or military officials The book of Acts will definitely stand the test of historical examination.

The Milky Way: Home of our Solar System ~ Sun to Pluto More recent estimates have given numbers around 400 billion stars • Our solar system is in the exact place it has to be in our galaxy or it would be pulled apart by gravity • Our sun is just the right size and distance from earth • Earth’s Ozone protects from harmful rays • All by chance? No design or Designer?

OUR SUN Earth and moon (247,000 miles) could fit inside it even if the Sun had a wall of 500,000 miles thick Sun’s diameter – 870,000 It is 1,300,000 times larger than earth Sun’s light reaches us in 8 min. 19 sec. One star in the constellation “Orion” called Betelgeuse is 248 times larger than the Sun Antares in the constellation Scorpio is 400,000,000 miles in diameter

PLANETESIMAL - An intruder star from somewhere else in our galaxy came near the Sun, and as it did, the gravita-tional forces that were generated produced tidal forces that tore material out of the Sun which became the solar system What question doesn’t this answer? Where did the “Intruder Star & Sun” originate? Afterthought: Where’d water come from?

  24. THEORIES OF THE ORIGIN OF MATTER 5.CONTINUOUS GENERATION – Matter is constantly being generated in the cosmos. The process by which this creation from nothing is taking place is not identified. They don’t know! They realize it has to have an origin But like the “Missing Link” you’d think they would have solved the problem by now. But anything is better than believing in God We know where we originated – “IN THE BEGINNING GOD…”
