  2. I have so many to tell you about the Vrancea County, which relief is a miniature copy of Romania. There is a legend about the forests from its mountains. A long time ago, people cut down all trees and the mountains were deserted. Before after În Ţara Vrancei circulă o legendă despre pădurile din munţi.Cu mult timp înainte, oamenii tăiaseră mulţi copaci, iar munţii rămăseserăaproape goi.

  3. There was an old lady who cured many illnesses with remedies from the forest. As the people had cut down all trees, remedies were harder and harder to find. Trăia pe atunci o bătrână care îi lecuia de multe boli, cu ierburi culese din pădure. Şi pentru că se tăiaseră păduri întregi, bătrâna găsea din ce în ce mai puţine leacuri.

  4. When they healed, the people asked the old lady: “What should we pay you for healing us?” “Don’t pay me, it’s the forest that heals you!” Oamenii se vindecau şi o întrebau: - Cât să-ţi plătim pentru că ne scapi de boli grele? Dar ea le răspundea: - Nu trebuie să mă plătiţi pe mine, căci pădurea e cea care vă vindecă!

  5. The old lady healed many people. They went up in the mountains and planted a tree as reward for the person who had healed them. Aşa că le-a spus oamenilor ca în loc de bani, să sădească câte un pom pe munţii din jur. Pe mulţi i-a lecuit bătrâna. Şi oamenii urcau pe munte şi sădeau câte un pomişor în amintirea celei care i-a salvat.

  6. After many years the mountains were again covered by forest, because the old lady understood that the forest is our greatest salvation. Astfel, după zeci de ani, munţii s-au acoperit de păduri, pentru că ea a înţeles că pădurea e cea mai mare salvare a noastră.

  7. If you ever visit in Romania the place where the old lady used to live, you will notice the forest planted by the people. And the people will say: “See the trees from the mountains? Actually every tree is a person!” Astăzi, dacă ajungeţi în Ţara Vrancei, le veţi vedea pe cele sădite atunci iar oamenii din partea locului vă vor spune: “Priviţi copacii care îmbracă munţii? De fapt fiecare copac este un om! “
