Community Connections BINGO! • Keys to the game: • Find a person who does one of the actions listed on the game sheet. • Once you find a person have them write his/her name in the square. • Keep meeting people and collecting signatures until you get all four squares either vertical, horizontal or diagonal signed. • The first person with complete signature must call out BINGO in order to win the PRIZE!

  6. Fundamental Approaches THE KEY: All of these should be a party of your communications strategy. Regularly scheduled newsletter distribution. Consistent social media and blog posts Strategic outreach using multimediapresentations. Run informational/narrative segments on your channel, online and audio versions on community radio outlets. Build a listserv for producers, members, staff and volunteers. Still go old school: Social events, face-to-face meetings, and print materials are still very effective ways to keeping people connected.

  7. Important Fundamental Points to Remember Use your electronic outreach tools to drive traffic to your website and channel (e.g. creating links in newsletter that lead back to your home site). Be strategic in your communications. Do not bombard constituents with information. Clarity and brevity always help. Think beyond your channel, but don’t forget your channel. Develop simple communications guidelines that can make it easier for volunteers and interns to help you communicate on a regular basis. Remember you are communicating with people and not random profiles and contacts in virtual space.
