  1. In the name of Allah, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful Understand Qur’an – the Easy WayFor Primary School Children (Book-1) Lesson-6a: Surah Al-Naas

  2. An-Naas: Last Surah of the Qur’an. • In this Surah we take refuge in Allah from our number 1 enemy, the most evil wicked and worst enemy. • Each one of us has a Shytaan always with him. Don’t be afraid! We have angels too always with us. And Allah with His huuuuuuuge powers is always with us also. How many students are here? 25, 30? So, there are at least 25 Shayateen right here. And more than 25 angels too. And Allah is high above watching and protecting all of us.

  3. Last Surah • Allah loves us and therefore He gave us the perfect formula in this Surah to protect ourselves. • Allah gave this Surah at the end of the Qur’an. Even if we finish the Qur’an, we need to follow it. And Shaitaan does not want us to do that. Therefore in the end, Allah gave us this Surah to protect ourselves from Shaitaan’s.

  4. Qul A’oozu bi • Qul – Say, i.e., tell everyone in the whole world in the most beautiful and kind way. We should read Qur’an, understand it, believe it, practice it and then teach it to others. • A’oozu bi– I take Refuge in Allah, i.e., I take Protection of Allah. I say it with understanding and strong belief that Allah is there right above me to give me the protection..

  5. 1. Rabbin-naas: the Lord of Mankind • The Lord, one who feeds all humans, helps them grow, and takes care of them. Not only food but there is something which Allah feeds us every second!!! What is it? Oxygen. If you block your nose, you will die! • Remember! Money can not feed us. If the earth does not grow food, can we eat money??? Can we ear papers??? Bills, coins??? No, it is Allah swt who is feeding us and helping us grow, who is taking care of us.

  6. رَبِّ النَّاس • Just imagine the 8 billion people on this earth and then see how Allah feeds them all, helps all of them grow, answers their needs. What a huge arrangement! • Feel the power as well as the generosity, kindness of Allah WHEN YOU SAY THIS.

  7. 2. Malikin-naas: The King of Mankind • Visualize that Allah is in full control of each one of these 8 billions. He gives them life as well as death. He is real and true King WITH ALL THE POWERS. He is the king of all humans as well as the rest of the universe. He is the Real King, the King of kings. • When we say He is the King, then we should also follow his orders also.

  8. 3. Ilaahin-naas: The God of Mankind • He is the true God even though many people may not worship Him because they don’t know or they are bad or arrogant. • You may have heard of plane crashes. All those people inside the plane cry and beg Allah or God to save them. They know that Allah is the One who protect them. Every one in big problems does the same.

  9. (the) God of Mankind • Just imagine everyone (8 billions) bowing down to Allah. Let us feel His greatness and then continue. We will then really feel the power and effect of this Surah which is a prayer.

  10. 4. Min Sharril waswaas: From the evil of the whisperer • When we forget that Allah is watching, Shytaan whispers. As soon as we have bad feelings, we should immediately take Allah’s protection. How? By saying A’oodhubillah and Pray, or Recite this Surah, or Reciting Quran, correcting others, be good, help others, have good manners, etc,.

  11. Khannas: Who withdraws • When we say A’oodhubillah and do good things, Shytaan fails miserably. He gets defeated and becomes khannas, i.e., he withdraws; runs away.

  12. 5. Alladhi yuwaswisu fee sudoorin-naas: • Allah has given a chance to Shytaan to whisper into our hearts. This is to test us, and to see if we listen to Allah or to Shytaan. • You can easily find out when Shytaan whispers!!!

  13. Don’t forget to do the HWs • Listen to a tape • Paste the poster in your room and learn the meanings from it at different times in the day • Fill up the worksheets in your book
