  2. Celebrations • They set of fireworks to keep Ravana away • After worshiping they gambled • Diwali is when king ramas coronation was celebrated in Ayodhya after his epic war • They lit diva lamps

  3. Lakshmi • She is beautiful and wears a red dress • Married mishmo and made him guardian of the world • She had 4 arms representing 4 rituals • Goddess of fortune and success • Raised arms and helped people • In pictures she usually had one or more elephants around her

  4. Rama and Sita • Rama plans to marry sita • Ravanakidnaps sita • In the beginning prince rama was banished to live in the forest • Sita is a beautiful princess rama

  5. What is diwali • They share sweets • It lasts a week • Homes are cleaned and windows are opened. • Doorways are hung with torans of mango leaves and marigolds.
