TEQIP-II State Action Plan to meet TEQIP objectives: • Revamping Curriculum and Introducing Choice Based Credit System • Enhancing Research, Consultancy, Incubation, Patents • Training and Capability Building through IITs, IIMs, IISC • Extension (Placement & Industry Interaction) • Accreditation and Academic Audit • Assessment and Online On Demand Exams • Institute Management and Social Networking Process of procurement will be carried out in a parallel way as the initiatives and activities mentioned above progress and the details and specifications regarding procurement emerge from the same

TEQIP II Training and Capability Building Vision To equip the faculty for transacting the learning outcome based curriculum Mission To facilitate continuous capability building of the faculty through short term training programs, pedagogical training and updation of discipline specific knowledge • Action Plan • Hands-on Training for faculty at core laboratories • Training on equipment's and testing of instrumental and practical knowledge • Short-courses and special topic courses, workshop, conference announced worldwide • The faculty wishing to travel abroad with respect to academic or research work may be enabled to do so through lesser restrictions on procedural matters. TEQIP II Accreditation and Academic Audit Vision: • To facilitate excellence in Technical education in the State by augmenting academic and administrative procedures Mission: • To facilitate awareness among Colleges in the State about processes and systems that can ensure quality enhancement and realization of goals set in Technical education. • To move in the direction of an accreditation and audit system that enables mentoring more than monitoring. • To arrive at a GBAP-AAA Score (Gujarat Board of Accreditation for Professional Courses-Academic and Administrative Audit) by assessing specific parameters for development. • The GBAP-AAA Score to be used as a tool to identify the areas for special focus and improvement. • To evaluate the performance of the institution and to identify the issues those are to be attended to in order to improve the quality of Teaching and Research.

A team has to be constituted for the design of forms. • A separate GBAP-AAA cell with necessary support staff and requisite infrastructure has to be constituted. • The experts should be trained to access the GBAP-AAA score through central felicitating team under the supervision of CTE • Each college is required to apply for GBAP-AAA score in a span of two to three years • Each college will the informed about their strengths and weakness • The accreditation should be made compulsory every five years • Differential weights can be assigned to the areas : • Academic Information40% • Systems & procedures15% • Administration25% • Infrastructure20%

  9. TEQIP II Assessment Vision: Assessment should be, first and foremost, about improving student learning and, Secondarily, about determining accountability for the quality of learning produced. Using varied, valid, and reliable assessment tools, information will be gathered and used to identify strengths and needs of individuals, schools, and the District as a whole. Results will be communicated to all stakeholders in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Mission:  • Make it a collaborative activity among those responsible for program quality with others in the educational community who have an interest in improvement of standards. • Facilitate continuous improvement of academic and administrative processes at GT; • develop and disseminate best practices for enabling continuous organizational learning and development;

  10. TEQIP II Assessment • Software for conducting On Demand On Line Exams to be installed in the computer labs • Form subject-wise committees for preparation of question bank. The questions may be objective and descriptive type. • On an average, 750 objective type questions and 250 descriptive type questions should be prepared. Questions should be of varying difficulty levels to cater to different levels of students’ competence. • The questions, once prepared, may be vetted by the subject expert in terms of the validity and authenticity. • For setting questions, the faculty may be paid Rs 50/- as remuneration. For vetting and finalizing the questions, Rs. 50/- may be paid as remuneration to the respective subject expert. • While the Online On Demand Examination may be conducted throughout the Semester, periodicity of the exams may be worked out.
