Member Education (more…) • DocEHR (unbudgeted) • A web-based solution for ambulatory providers offering the following features: • A social community of peers (modeled under social network solution) which: • Enables peers to participate in online topic based discussions • Post their own approaches to EHR adoption in print, image, video • Author content of findings and advice for peers • HIT Industry news from multiple RSS feeds, filtered for appropriate content • Information and education resources in the form of: • Professional industry prepared documents, whitepapers, and other reference resources licensed or created specifically for this venue • Convert the editorial content developed by Maria Rudolf into excerpts of digestible and simple elements and place it on Cardiosource • Manually compile an index of external resources and link to it from within Cardiosource.

Member Education (more…) • DocEHR more…(unbudgeted) • EHR Product Center • Content submitted from vendors based on online questionnaire/profile form • Searchable by feature and other variables • Provider based product reviews and comments appended to the vendor • A “Compare” feature enabling a face to face comparison of multiple products based on listings • Management tools • Ad and sponsor based revenue model • Integration into the IMIS account system • Co-branded with ACC/Cardiosource • Moderation and content management • Dynamic posting and messaging from account holders, read only from non-account holders • Search engine optimized with static links and content • Able to be co-branded content classified by vertical clinical specialty then shared with partner societies.

Member Education (more…) • “Informatics Experience” Booth at ACC08 (unbudgeted) • Provide live training opportunities at the ACC08 on the trade show floor in the booth theater • Work with vendors to develop a series of short training sessions on • ACC HIT products such as DocEHR • Interoperability • EHR adoption • Clinical decision support • more • This will replace the IHE booth and will have a message of “simple integration and interoperability in HIT solutions” across all platforms • Funded in part or full through sponsorships

Member Education (more…) • Pre-Conference EHR “Bake Off” at ACC08 (unbudgeted) • Develop a pre-conference session offering EHR vendors the chance to compare their product against their peer in the form of a competition • Preplanning will include self designation by vendors with specifically structured questionnaire (shared with DocEHR) • Categorized by practice class (1-4 doctors, 4-10 etc..) • Number of questionnaire criteria met • Costs for purchase • Costs for hardware • Costs of continued operation/update/upgrade • Live cardiology clinical based scenarios presented in real time • “Winners” identified. • Funded in part or full through sponsorships • Offer HIT topic webinars throughout the year.
