These inefficiencies include: longer cycle times, unnecessary amounts of WIP inventory, poor utilization of skilled labor and limited space in the shop floor, and other NVA activities. The improvement of material flow from stores to the Cell with the possible elimination of the Finishing Rack will help meet Productivity Initiatives.
