  3. Se estudió la seguridad y efectividad de la denervación renal en pacientes con hipertensión resistente al tratamiento. TheLancet, noviembre 17 del 2010

  4. CRITERIOS DE INCLUSION Y EXCLUSION Incluyeron: - Ptes de 18 a 85 años. - Con TAS> a 160 mmHg. - Tto con 3 ó mas drogas. Excluyeron: - Ptes con FG < 45 ml/min. - DBT tipo 1. - Contraindicación de RM. - Estenosis valvulares significativas. - Embarazo. - IAM o angina inestable. - ACV en los últimos 6 meses. - Estenosis significativa, intervención previa, alteraciones anatómicas.

  5. GRUPOS DE ESTUDIO

  7. ENDPOINTS Primario: Descenso de TAS en un periodo de 6 meses. Secundario :Complicaciones -Agudas: la seguridad del procedimiento. - Crónicas: Descenso del FG > 25% y/o estenosis > 60%. -Endpoints compuesto cardiovascular.

  8. CURVAS DE DESARROLLO

  9. RESULTADOS Grupo Symplicity: Descenso significativo de la presión promedio de 32/12 mmHg(p 0,0001). Grupo control: No tuvo descensos. No hubo complicaciones relacionadas con el procedimiento, con el catéter, ni efectos adversos en ninguno de los dos grupos. La denervación con catéter symplicity es un método seguro y puede ser usado para el tratamiento de la HTA resistente.
