  2. Focus design task Task > Design a block print number. Sketch ideas for your print. The most effective prints are often the simplest ideas. So don’t over complicate your idea.You have around 10 mins to do this. Collect materials and equipment such as scissors, card, glue stick,knife, PVA glue and a brush.

  3. 1 3 2 4 Focus design task 1 Begin to cut and place your design on to the backing card. Do not glue anything for now!

  4. 5 Design task Your design must be reversed. Look at the number four You can then begin to glue down your design.

  5. 6 7 PVA all over your design to seal in the design. Build up layers of card to create a relief. Don’t worry if you have drawn all over your work for the moment it doesn’t matter. Design task

  6. 8 Design task Take a roller and begin applying a thincoat of printing ink all over the design. Cover the entire printing block.

  7. 9 Design task Carefully turnover the print and place onto a piece of paper/card. Be careful not to touch the paper with dirty hands. Take another roller or print roller and press the print onto the paper. Remove the block and you should have the final print.
