  1. “Namaste”

  2. Christians Share an Inseparable Bond Found Only In Christ • Rom. 1:9 “…without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.” • Corinthians (1 Cor. 1:4) “I thank my God always concerning you…” and (1 Cor. 4:14) “I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you.” • (Gal. 4:15) “…I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me.” • (Eph 6:21-23) “…Tychicus… I have sent to you for this very purpose… that he may comfort your hearts. Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

  3. A Special Bond • But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. • (Colossians 3:14-15 NKJV)

  4. A Sad Farewell For Those Outside of Christ • "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8 NKJV)

  5. A Farewell to Paul • Then they all wept freely, and fell on Paul's neck and kissed him, sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they would see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship. (Acts 20:37-38 NKJV)

  6. A Farewell to Paul (Not a Sad Farewell) • For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:6-8 NKJV)

  7. The Farewell of Jesus • Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven." (Acts 1:9-11 NKJV)

  8. A Christian’s Farewell In Death: A Promise To Be Gathered Together • …Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people. (Genesis 25:8 NKJV) • …Isaac breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people, being old and full of days… (Genesis 35:29 NKJV) • …when Jacob had finished commanding his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed and breathed his last, and was gathered to his people. (Genesis 49:33 NKJV) • “…for Aaron shall be gathered to his people and die there." (Numbers 20:26 NKJV) • (Moses would) “…die on the mountain which you ascend, and be gathered to your people, just as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people; (Deuteronomy 32:50 NKJV)

  9. The Farewell of a Christian Won’t Last Very Long • “…what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” • (Jas. 4:14)
