  10. Expectations for Players • Be a STUDENT athlete • Prepare your body (strength, speed, agility, flexibility, and conditioning) • Be committed to the team • Be a leader on and off the field • Team Expectations (handout) • Chippewa Valley Code of Conduct for student athletes (must be signed)

  11. Fundraising • Necessary for game socks, chocolate milk, alternate jerseys, additional coaches, equipment, professional film, Hudl system, programs, dinners, dog tags, banquets, awards, t-shirts, senior gifts, pizza, website, etc. 3 Major Fundraisers • eTeamSponsor: email campaign for all teams must be entered online by May 26th (handout) • Lift-A-Thon: this week for varsity players; summer for incoming 9th & 10th graders • Team Cards: each player is expected to sell cards; $10 cards this year (August)

  12. Eligibility • Must pass four classes 2nd Semester • If under a 2.0. GPA, player must be on a weekly progress report until adequate improvement is shown • Summer School – at Dakota 9th Grade Center • Contact Coach Merchant or your counselor for more information

Summer Calendar • Starts Monday, June 15th ends Tuesday, August 4th • “Dead Week” - July 3rd to July 10th • No weightlifting, speed camp, or any other football related activities • No contact with coaches • Physical Night @ CVHS Thursday, July 30th: 4:30-7:00pm • Practice starts August 10th at 8:00am for all levels

  14. Summer Camps • Middle School Football Camp: • June 15 & June 16 • 5:00 – 8:00pm • Current Grades 6 through 8 • Cost: $60.00 (T-shirt included) • High School Football Camp: • July 27 & 28 • 5:00 – 8:00pm • Current Grades 9 through 11 • Cost: $35.00 (T-shirt included)

  15. Summer Camps • Chippewa Speed, Agility, & Quickness Camp: • June: 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 • July: 2, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30 • From 10:00am - 11:30am • Cost: $115.00 (T-shirt included) • Grades 6-12: Middle School through High School

  16. Weight Room • Summer Hours • Grades 9 & 10 from 11:30am – 12:30pm Tuesday & Thursdays • Grades 11 & 12 from 8:30am – 10:00am Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays • starting June 15th and ending August 4th • A coach will always be present • Players are expected to lift at Chippewa with their teammates and coaches

  17. Varsity Conditioning • Mondays • 10:00 to 11:00am • Starts June 15th and ends August 4th • Bring running shoes, football cleats and something to drink

  18. Equipment Handout • Monday, August 3rd & Tuesday, August 4th • Seniors – 8:00 to 9:00am – August 3rd • Juniors – 11:00am to Noon – August 3rd • Sophomores – 9:00 to 10:00am – August 4th • Freshmen – 11:00am to noon – August 4th YOU MUST BRING A LOCK IN ORDER TO GET YOUR EQUIPMENT

  19. Requirements • Must have a physical dated after April 15, 2015 in order to practice (Physical Night handout) • IMPACT Testing • Must have a lock to get equipment • Pay to Participate Fee - must be paid online after August 1st & before scrimmage; form must be turned in as well in order to scrimmage • Free and Reduced lunch families see the application on the district website – must be renewed annually

First Week of Practice • Monday, August 10th: all levels meet at the appropriate field at scheduled time • Varsity: Monday – Friday • 8:00am to 2:30pm (Stadium) • Junior Varsity: Monday – Friday • 8:00am to 2:30pm (9th Grade Center Field) • Freshman: Monday – Friday • 8:00am to 12:30pm (CVHS by tennis courts) • Saturday, August 15th: • Red & White Scrimmages: Frosh/JV 5:00-6:30pm Varsity: 7:00-8:30pm • BBQ: 6:30-7:30pm • Sunday, August 16th: Off

  21. Communication • In order to stay in touch we need player and parent emails and phone numbers; please fill out the football questionnaire and turn it in to your coach before you leave. This is extremely important! • Important announcements and information will also be posted on our website & Twitter page: www.cvbigreds.com @CVBigReds

  22. Parental Involvement • We want and need your involvement with a number of events: red & white BBQ, team dinners, fundraising efforts, banquet, programs, yearbook, etc. • Big Red Backers group will be signing up volunteers and selling items
