Land Forces: replaced Allied troops and launched offensives against Germany; navy used convoy system and submarines to defeat U-boats • ii. Air Forces: fought with French Corps to shoot down enemy planes

  3. C. Russia Withdraws from War: After Bolshevik revolution, Russia withdrew and signed the Brest-Litvosk Treaty (1918) • D. Armistice: signed truce with Allies (1918)
