Leadership: What, Why, & How • What does "leadership" mean to you? • Does it only apply to management positions • What differences are there in leadership positions in academia and industry? • What about different industrial settings, e.g., research vs. development? • Why would anyone want to take on the extra responsibilities that leadership positions require? • Pay? Prestige? Power? • How can you manage to be successful in a demanding career and to have a fulfilling life? Is it even possible?
