  3. Configuring External Messaging Service • Used to establish Communications with Jabber Server • Jabber Server may be maintained locally or on the internet • More Information: www.jabber.org

  4. Configuring a Profile For External IM • Used to decide which External Messaging services will be supported • Some user profiles may support External IM others may not

  5. Creating a User login on Jabber Server • Assign user to Profile • Enter username & password • Register User

  6. User must register with IM Services. • User can decide which IM clients to log into

  7. Address book • Once Registered, you MXIE will import your buddy lists from AIM, MSN etc… • These can then be added to your MXIE ‘Buddy’ list.
