  2. Read the following sentences, then think of the differences between the two verbs 1- I play with my friends in the park every Sunday. 2- I played with my friends in the park last Sunday.

  3. 1- My mom cooks yummy food every weekend. 2- My mom cooked yummy food last weekend.

  4. 1- Today, my dad washes his car. 2- Yesterday, my dad washed his car.

  5. The Past Tense: • A past-tense verb tells about actions that happened in the past. • Add (ed) to most of the present verbs to make them show the past. • Some key words for the past tense are (yesterday, last week, last Monday, last summer…..)

  6. Examples: • We played with the sand on the beach last Friday. • Tom climbed the big tree last vacation.

  7. Examples: • The little dog moved its tail yesterday. • Andy played with the leaves last fall.

  8. Now it is your turn. Look at the pictures then say sentences about them in the past. Start with the following words 1- Yesterday, ……………
