  2. Since 1986, Linda used every part of her life – personal time, church, professional life - as a bridge to her passion …. Expanding access to higher education for young people across the Commonwealth.

VirginiaCAN • As an employee of ECMC, worked to assemble the College Access Summit in 2004 • Member of the organizing committee seeking to create an association for access professionals: 2004-06 • Founding Board member and officer (Secretary) for the Virginia College Access Network from 2006 through 2012 • Led or assisted in preparation of every annual conference

  4. VASFAA • One of the original Super Saturday volunteers. • One of the primary organizers for Super Saturday for years. • Volunteered for many years at the Greater Richmond Access Scholarship Program, currently known as: GReatAspirations Scholarship Program (GRASP)

  5. Acknowledgments National Association of State Administrators and Supervisors of Private Schools (NASASPS) created the: Linda Woodley Award for Regulatory Excellence

  6. Acknowledgments • In honor of Linda’s lifetime commitment to service and volunteerism VirginiaCAN establishes the: Linda H. Woodley Service Scholarship

  7. Linda H. Woodley Service Scholarship • Endowment set up in VEST account • Awarded annually to a deserving student • Nominated by a college access organization • Number and amount of scholarships depends upon proceeds from endowment and annual fund raisers (min. $500) • Final selection by scholarship committee comprised of: VirginiaCAN, VASFAA, and the Woodley family

  8. Linda H. Woodley Service Scholarship • Eligibility criteria • Demonstrated commitment to volunteer service • Complete the FAFSA • Minimum 2.5 high school GPA • Also may be considered: • Financial need • First generation student • Initial 2013 award by GRASP
